As spiritual beings having a human experience, we often subscribe more to our human-ness (ego) than our spiritual self. This makes us feel limited and we judge others with the same yardstick.
When we are awake and keep reminding ourselves of our spiritual self, and that of others, we see growth, we see forgiveness, we see gratitude and humility.
All of these bring us closer to a joyous experience and further away from suffering in the hands of ego. The world around us feels abundant, full, infinite and limitless.
So the next time you encounter selfishness, examine it as a growth process, examine how and where that human is growing, as opposed to focusing on their limitation.
